Welcome to The Ultimate Poker
We're opening the doors on a new poker room built for serious players: dual-currency wallets, fast crypto rails, and games that run 24 hours a day.
By The Ultimate Poker Team
After eighteen months of building, testing, and quietly inviting a few hundred players to break things for us, we are finally opening The Ultimate Poker to everyone. This first post is part welcome mat, part roadmap, and part promise about what kind of poker room we are trying to be.
Why we built another poker site
If you have been around online poker for a while, you have probably watched the same pattern play out at every operator. A new site launches with great software and a great rake structure, attracts a wave of players, and then — somewhere between year three and year five — quietly starts squeezing. Rake creeps up. Promotions get worse. The chat support that used to be friendly becomes a three-day ticket queue. The fish stop coming, the regs stop staying, and a year later you are reading another shutdown announcement.
We do not think this has to happen, and we have built our economics so it does not have to happen to us. Our rake is intentionally low and we have no plans to raise it. Our promotions are funded by the operator, not by other players’ rake. Our support is staffed by people who have actually played the game.
This post will not list every feature in detail — the features page and the FAQ will do that better. What we want to do here is tell you what we care about, what we are willing to fight for, and what you can expect from us over the next twelve months.
Three things we care about
Game integrity, in a way you can audit
Online poker only works if the players believe the cards are fair. We have published our RNG documentation so you can read exactly how we generate randomness, and we publish a daily hash of the previous day’s deal log so that an outside party can independently verify the cards have not been changed after the fact. Our RNG is certified by iTech Labs and we publish the certificate on the security page.
Beyond the RNG, we have a small but serious game-security team monitoring the felt for collusion, bot activity, and ghosting. We will not pretend nothing ever happens — every site has bad actors trying to get in — but we treat removing them as a first-class problem, not a quarterly cleanup.
Money in and out, without drama
Most of our players use crypto, and we have built our cashier around that reality. USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, BTC, ETH, and a handful of others. We process withdrawals 24 hours a day, and the median withdrawal time from request to network confirmation is currently 14 minutes. We also support cards (Visa, Mastercard) for players who prefer them, and we are working on a few regional bank-transfer options that we will announce when they are ready.
We are not a bank. We do not want to hold your money any longer than we have to. If you want to cash out your roll at 3 a.m. on a Tuesday, you should be able to.
A game that respects your time
We do not buy traffic by pumping bonuses with 50× wagering requirements. We do not run “tournaments” where the top prize is a $5 freeroll ticket. We do not slow-roll your withdrawal to see if you will play it back. We run real games at real stakes with real prize pools, and we try very hard not to waste your time with anything else.
What you can play right now
At launch we are offering:
- Texas Hold’em, NL stakes from $0.02/$0.05 up to $25/$50, plus heads-up tables on demand
- Pot-Limit Omaha, NL stakes from $0.05/$0.10 up to $10/$25
- Open-Face Chinese Poker with Pineapple variant, $0.10 per point and up
- Sit & Go tournaments in 6-max, 9-max, and heads-up formats from $1 buy-ins
- Multi-table tournaments running daily, with a weekly Sunday major and a monthly featured event
We are launching with all tables running 24/7 in the micro and low stakes. Mid- and high-stakes tables will run during peak hours (roughly 18:00 – 04:00 UTC) until liquidity grows.
If you have not played poker online before, our new how-to-play guides will get you from “knows the rules” to “comfortable at a $0.05/$0.10 table” in about forty minutes of reading.
What is coming next
We are aware that a launch is not an end state, it is a starting line. Here is what is on the roadmap for the next twelve months, in rough priority order.
- Mobile native apps, iOS and Android. The web client works well on mobile browsers, but a native app is meaningfully better for tournament play and we are not satisfied with the browser experience for that.
- Run-it-twice and run-it-three-times on cash tables. We have the code, we are still tuning the UI.
- PLO-5 and PLO-6 tables, once we are confident the player pool is deep enough to support them at reasonable stakes.
- Time-based table fees as an alternative to rake for high-stakes cash games. The math is better for regulars at those stakes, and high-stakes liquidity is hard to build, so we want to give the regs every reason to play here.
- Spin & Go-style lottery tournaments. Not because we love them — they are basically slot machines wearing a poker costume — but because some players do, and we would rather they play ours than someone else’s.
- A real client API so that approved third-party tools (HUDs, hand-history converters) can integrate cleanly without screen-scraping. We will publish a list of approved tools and a list of banned ones.
A note on responsible gambling
We want you to play here for years, not weeks. That means we would rather you stop when you should than chase losses into a hole you cannot climb out of.
Every account has a deposit limit you can set at signup (and we strongly encourage you to set one). Every account can self-exclude for any period from 24 hours to permanent. If you ever think your play is becoming a problem, the resources on the responsible gambling page are real and they work — call them.
We will never email you “we miss you, here’s a free $20” the day after you self-exclude. That is a tactic we find genuinely shameful, and you will not see it from us.
A note on where you can play
The Ultimate Poker is licensed by Curaçao eGaming. We do not accept players from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Curaçao itself, or Australia. The full list, with the underlying reasons (mostly regulatory) is on the legal page.
If you are in a country where online poker is legal and our license is recognised, you can sign up, deposit, and be in a hand inside of five minutes.
Come say hello
If you make it this far, thank you. Sign up, claim the first-deposit match, and find us at the tables. The team is in the lobby chat most evenings UTC and we read every support ticket.
If you have a feature request, a bug report, or just want to tell us where we are getting it wrong, the fastest way to reach us is the contact form. We read everything, and we respond.
See you on the felt.
